Accountability - Understanding the causes of and solutions to political violence

March 3, 2015
Audio

Free event for all In an attempt to find a way out of the cycle of violence, CAGE has revealed evidence that the British Security Services’ (mis)treatment of Mohammed Emwazi might have played a role in his turn to political violence. While a responsible and substantial stance was needed, the only response from senior politicians and government-aligned media was to vilify CAGE as “terror apologists”, to attempt to assassinate its members’ characters and to question its funders. The Muslim community has rallied to CAGE's support as it understands only too well the impact the War on Terror has on the lives of ordinary people. This event aims to inform the community as to why CAGE took the steps it did.  [fusion\_button link="" title="" target="\_blank" link\_attributes="" alignment="center" modal="" hide\_on\_mobile="small-visibility,medium-visibility,large-visibility" class="" id="" color="default" button\_gradient\_top\_color="" button\_gradient\_bottom\_color="" button\_gradient\_top\_color\_hover="" button\_gradient\_bottom\_color\_hover="" accent\_color="" accent\_hover\_color="" type="" bevel\_color="" border\_width="" size="large" stretch="no" shape="" icon="" icon\_position="left" icon\_divider="no" animation\_type="" animation\_direction="left" animation\_speed="0.3" animation\_offset=""]Please register here[/fusion\_button] FB: /cageuk T: @UK\_CAGE #withCAGE E: \events@cageuk.org
