Former NUS President Shaima Dalalil Wins a Settlement Protecting anti-Zionist Views
The NUS has at long last conceded that anti-Zionist and pro-Palestine beliefs are protected. Shaima's brutal suspension from her role as NUS President, along with subsequent media smears weaponising anti-Semitism and blatant racist attacks, has caused irreparable damage to the NUS.
It is ironic that the NUS having succumbed to pressure from external and internal Zionist lobby groups is now faced with widespread student mobilisation across the country, challenging the Zionist pro-genocide lobby and demanding complete divestment from Israel's apartheid regime. Student led direct action has significantly shifted the debate within educational institutions, revealing universities' heavy-handed attempts to silence dissenting voices.
The NUS may want to bury its shameful treatment of a female Muslim President but it can only now gain credibility with its membership by being at the forefront of the campaign to isolate the genocidal and apartheid Israeli regime.
