Steve Jolly is a campaigner and freelance writer. He successsfully campaigned against 'Project Champion', an attempted police surveillance operation in 2010 designed to monitor Birmingham's Muslim communities in the name of counter terrorism. He was shortlisted for a Human Rights Award and in 2011 gave evidence to the Protection of Freedoms Bill committee, where he opposed the UK government's surveillance policies. He has written for The Guardian, Big Brother Watch and infowars.com and has given radio and television interviews as a spokesman for the 'No CCTV' campaign group and has appeared in several documentaries. Steve writes and gives media interviews about surveillance, privacy and civil liberties issues.
