October 7th: A Year of Resistance to Repression Across Europe
Event Details
Over the past year, governments across Europe have unleashed some of the harshest repression on pro-Palestine activists:
- Arrests & raids
- Politicised trials
- Bans on protests & slogans
Activists from across the continent will gather to discuss a year of resistance in support of Palestine.
We'll also be marking "The international remembrance day for victims of the "War on Terror"", commemorating the day the first bombs fell on Afghanistan in 2001, and how the authoritarian laws passed since then are used to criminalise pro-Palestine activism today.
Speakers:
- Mansoor Adayfi: Former Guantanamo Bay Prisoner, CAGE International Guantanamo Project Coordinator (UK)
- Amani Hassani: Researcher at CEDA (Denmark)
- Amanj Aziz: Founder of Insaan (Sweden)
- Rayan Freschi: France researcher at CAGE International (France)
- Nehal Abdallah: Researcher, CAGE Austria
- Ehmad Ibrahim: Palestinian activist, member of Perspective Musulmanes (France)
