Major Film Company to Stream Phantom Parrot Across the US
London - The award-nominated documentary Phantom Parrot, that chronicles the efforts of CAGE International Managing Director Muhammad Rabbani to safeguard the confidentiality of torture survivor Ali Al-Marri, has signed a streaming rights deal with the multi-platform media and entertainment company Tribeca Enterprises. This partnership will allow the documentary to stream in the United States, marking a significant expansion for its reach to broader audiences.
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Kate Stonehill, Phantom Parrot provides an intimate look into the challenges faced by activists campaigning against state surveillance and police coercion. Since its world premiere at the Copenhagen Film Festival in Denmark last year, the film has featured in numerous film festivals across the world. Last month, it screened in cinemas across the UK and was nominated for an award at the Movies That Matter Film Festival in The Hague, Netherlands.
Founded in 2003 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, Tribeca Enterprises operates the Tribeca Festival, Tribeca Studios, and production company "m ss ng p eces". The multi-platform media and entertainment company has a large reach across the US and its acquisition of Phantom Parrot’s streaming rights will provide an expanded audience to the documentary.
